Hi!  This is something I’ve seen fairly often–the idea that Thorki fans try to somehow justify that it’s not an incest pairing, like we shy away from that or refuse to acknowledge it.  When in actuality the majority of Thorki shippers ship it as part of the pairing.  You would have to work really, really hard to find fic where they’re not calling each other “Brother” right in the text, for example!

It’s fine if someone only ships it in an AU where they weren’t raised together, if the incest aspect hits the wrong buttons for them, but they like the dynamic otherwise.  It’s fine if someone is only here for Thorki on a familial level, if the idea of romance or sex between them is squicky to them.  And it’s fine that the majority of Thorki fandom just goes, “Yeah, it’s absolutely incest, we don’t care.” because fiction =/= reality.

So, most of us do see it as incest–they were raised together, they played together, they see each other as brothers, they call each other “brother”, they act like brothers. They just also have absolutely WILD chemistry with each other on a UST level that I think blows everything else out of the water, so that’s what I ship.

Just want to add (again): it’s fine if you only read AUs where they weren’t raised together. It’s NOT fine if you insist that it isn’t incest IN CANON because they’re not related by blood.
