Of course, Loki hides his insecurities behind sarcasm and insults. He trusts no-one, never gets close to anyone, so when the spoiled, asshole son of his new boss starts shower Loki with affection, Loki immediately assumes its an elaborate joke.

Thor is young and dumb, completely gorgeous and so arrogant he makes Loki want to spit. Thor has always had everything handed to him in life, he’s never had to work for what he wanted, and now he wants Loki. Loki is so beautiful, prim and proper, so smart and put together, his father’s new secretary and that means Loki goes everywhere with them, always doing something for Odin and Thor is supposed to be learning the family business, but he’s studying Loki.

Loki makes him work for it. It takes months before Loki even calls him Thor rather than “Odinson”. Longer still until Loki is comfortable with it being just the two of them alone together.

Thor works harder than he ever has in his life, seducing Loki, and it’s so worth it when he finally gets Loki undressed and in his lap, rocking himself up and down on Thor’s cock, completely undone and so gorgeous that Thor never wants to let him out of his sight again. Thor has him like that, then bent over the desk in his father’s office, then again in Thor’s bed. When Loki tries to sneak out, Thor only tightens his arms around him and drags him back into the bed.

Loki finally relaxes then, convinced now that this was never a joke.

This reminds me a bit of Hermaline’s historical tutor!Loki x student!Thor fic …as schoolboys from their books. Not exactly the same premise, but it’s younger spoiled Thor seducing older self-contained Loki.

Wait, so… he’s already got it early in TDW? I thought he took it after Loki “died” in TDW. This suggests that he braided Loki’s hair in while he was in prison. When/how did he get the hair? Is this his way of signifying that Loki is dead to him again, and mourning the brother he knew?

(Tbh I think it’s probably not Loki’s hair… but on the supposition that it is, I want to get the order of events sorted out. You know, for fic reasons.)

@philosopherking1887 My headcanon is it’s originally just mourning for Frigga (none of these TDW shots happen before that, right? I can’t 100% tell), and then gets rebraided with Loki’s hair, which he takes after Loki “dies”.

Naw, one of them is from the scene where Thor is standing on the balcony with Odin watching warriors train and Odin tries to set Thor up with Sif.

@foundlingmother unfortunately, the TWD shot from the top right came before frigga’s death. my interpretation is that he wasn’t mourning loki’s death so much as he was mourning his loss of his brother. like yeah, loki was still alive, but he was also 1) “evil”, as far as the world’s concerned 2) imprisoned and 3) all but disowned by odin at that point. so thor wore a lock of his hair as a way to carry a piece of his brother with him at all times. Makes sense. Little amusing to think of exactly when he must have cut a lock of Loki’s hair after Avengers, and what Loki thought of that.

Oh damn now I really want to fic it. If only I had the energy and brain functionality. And didn’t have WIPs I should be working on instead.
