Here is what I need: about 500 fics in which Thor discovers that Loki has enormous matching broadsword-shaped scars in the middle of his his chest and back, and Thor and Loki talk about this.

@philosopherking1887 it could be discovered; it could be noticed; it could be glanced at, or viewed briefly, or seen clandestinely—any of those would do, as long as it’s also acknowledged and discussed. That’s all I ask.

You guys think I’m kidding. I am not. I’ve read a one shot by @veliseraptor that I loved and a long fic by @gaslightgallows that I also enjoyed thoroughly (which I almost typed as Thor-oughly). I need MORE!

Oh, well, you know me with the scar fetish. I’ve got Thor discovering scars from Loki’s year in the Void and remarking on the big chest and back scars or thinking about them but deliberately not remarking on them… Now that you mention it, I might want to write a very pointed fic where Thor sees the scars and is surprised because he’d assumed that Loki just faked the whole thing and Loki just rips him a new one or several. But that might involve conceding too much to Ragnarok’s characterization of Thor, and I don’t want to write him as that much of an asshole.

When the time comes to lift the sanctions, a diplomatic exchange is proposed, and Loki is chosen as the ambassador to Asgard. But first, he’s got to play host to Odin’s emissary, Thor.

Chapter 4: In which things get worse before they get better, the road trip continues, and Jotunheim is cold.

In the end, it only takes two days for Loki’s patience to finally snap.

Someone should have told Pope Gregory that Pride was a very different sin from Vanity; it would have been obvious, Loki thought, if only he had met both Thor and Fandral. Vanity is the obsessive preoccupation with outward appearances and with the opinions of others; pride is an excessive inner confidence in one’s own abilities and worth. Loki found vanity (and Fandral) to be contemptible, servile, and therefore unattractive. Pride, on the other hand… there was an alluring swagger to it (and Thor). It may have been a moral vice, but Loki considered it an aesthetic virtue.

“Loki envied Thor his prideful swagger. Of course he did; he was, after all, the embodiment of Envy.”

I finally decided to post my Satanic-themed giveaway fic for @wouldyouknowmore on AO3 (I originally posted it on Tumblr here). It’s my very first AU fic! Not just canon-divergent AU, but actual completely different universe, a demon AU inspired by Good Omens and “The Good Place.”

@philosopherking1887 Loki’s pocket dimensions (very literally—heh) head canon in Tom’s mind, too!

It’s not clear that he knows about the “pocket dimensions” thing in Marvel comics (which I only know about from Marvel wikis and shit, I don’t really read the comics), but that’s certainly the basic idea. And yes, I use them liberally in fanfiction, for everything from throwing knives and costume changes to lube…
