First Line/Last Line

Haven’t done one of these in a while and they’re always fun, so…first and last (currently) written sentence in the next chapter of each open fic I’m working on, and anyone else who’s currently writing can feel free to do theirs too 🙂

Na Binne an Leann chapter 10

First line:  

Looking back now, dinner with the Auchinlecks wasn’t near as bad as it could have been.

Last line:  

After a few seconds thinking about it, I shrugged and started to take my coat off.  So be it.

Jack Montague chapter 50

First line:  

Loki laid a piece of paper on the table in front of his brother and sat down, nodding to the waitress when she knocked on the glass to get his attention.

Last line:   “In theory I could but I’m married to your daughter.”

Chemical chapter 59

First line:  

Once he had me back in the bedroom, the entire dynamic of our encounter shifted gears and became something much slower, much softer, much more tender and loving than the wild, unfettered wall-slamming sex he’d just brought to a screeching halt with his softly uttered safeword.

Last line:

“Ugh.  Adam.  Don’t get me into calling him Pop because that’s just weird.”

Sunflower chapter 11

First line:  

“Tommy!”

Last line:  

“Yeah,” Tommy finally agreed, turning to go into the kitchen, leaving them alone against his better judgement.

Aingeal àrd chapter 1

First line:  

This hill has been mine since before I were born.  

Last line:   It were hardly fair that they should be deprived of their favorite snack so this fuckin’ strange woman could trespass on their grazing grounds – and so I ran them straight through.

A Mutually Beneficial Arrangement (oneshot, Chemical prehistory)

First line:  

“I understand you need some schooling.”

Last line:

“Yes, Mistress.”

Things quiet down after the Justin Hammer incident.

Once cleared there, Bucky and Sophie head to their floor and depending on how bad the mission was they don’t make it past the living room before her clothes are ripped off and he is thrusting into her or he picks her up and they get into their room and her clothes get saved and taken off and he still fucks into her hard. (Story is still in notes and idea form)

First Things chapter 4 (now out of ?, because I really have no idea what I’m doing with this fic)

First line: “Loki
looked down at the box in his hand with what might have been either excitement
or trepidation or some combination of them that, in any case, was making his
stomach feel very odd.”

Last line: “The
brothers were well-matched in this kind of contest: they were very nearly the
same height, with a similar reach; and while Thor could put more power into his
swings and keep up such effort for longer, Loki was quicker at dodging blows
and darting in for targeted strikes.”

The Abyss Gazes Also chapter 16, first and last line which I wrote just now because I do know where I need to go next:

Untitled Handmaid’s Tale Thorki AU chapter 3 (I started this project over the summer and it’s been on hold since August):

First line: “The
way Loki remembered it, he was ill for the greater part of his first ten years.”

Last line: “They
only shrugged and made vague statements about weak lungs and bad circulation of blood.”
