Hey, guys! I’m submitting my dissertation on Wednesday (November 15), which means that I’ve been holed up working on it for most of the past few weeks, so I’m pretty stressed out but also lonely and bored. I also have not had time to write or post new fic recently, so I probably have no right asking you to go read my old stuff… but it would be really encouraging and cheering if someone wanted to read something of mine and leave a comment on it. Please, talk to me about my weird obsessions! (And reassure me that I haven’t been wasting my time on them…)

Many of my followers have already read all of my fic, for which I am grateful!! And I’m sorry for boring you by reposting old stuff. But for those of you who may not know: I write Thor/Loki fic as well as gen fic centered on Loki and his brotherly relationship with Thor. Or rather, I have written such and will start writing it again after I finish my dissertation.

I’ll be sure to check it out! :) Do you have some fic recs that are postRagnarok that are kinda angsty? I’ve been looking for some that talk about the dramatic things that the movie glossed over for the sake of comedy, like Odin’s lies, Thor/Loki’s problems that weren’t really addressed enough imo, Asgard being gone, Thor’s friend’s being killed by Hela, etc. But I only found one oneshot. Guess it’s too early?

Sorry to keep self-promoting, but have you read my post-Ragnarok fic, Zeno’s Paradox? It’s pretty short, so it doesn’t address all of those issues, but I do try to acknowledge some of the shit that Odin left in his wake. @incredifishface a.k.a. thebookhunter’s fic, appropriately enough called Bookie’s Hug Fic, also makes a point of acknowledging the rift in Thor and Loki’s relationship. @raven-brings-light‘s fic The opposite of love offers an interestingly angsty reading of the sotory about 8-year-old Loki turning into a snake and stabbing Thor.

The absolute angstiest fic I’ve read is @illwynd‘s Over Now. It’s sort of an alternate-ending Ragnarok fic based on the 2004 Ragnarok storyline in the comics, and using that to comment on Thor’s attitude toward Loki in the movie. Warning: darkness ahead.

‘Tis the season. I owe some impossibly lovely friendships to fanfiction–to Thor/Loki in particular–and I will never cease to be grateful for that. So, to say thank you, I thought I’d do a fic giveaway.

The dearth of enjoyable content on pornhub, etc., was a big part of why I started writing fic. I still can’t find what I want on there and I’m guessing I’m not the only one in that boat. So for this giveaway, think PWP.

To enter:

  • Put as many PWP Thor/Loki fic-wants in my askbox as you like (or, if you need more space, post them elsewhere and direct me to them). PWP can be Porn Without Plot or Plot, What Plot? (y’all know I love fluff). No rape or death fic
  • Act fast–I don’t like to leave my inbox open for long
  • You don’t have to be following this blog

Feel free to request fics as gifts for other people! Don’t be shy about spilling your kinks in my inbox. Believe me, you are in the filthiest possible company. If you’re shy about anyone else knowing your kinks, just tell me that you wish to remain anon if I fill your fic-want.

As ever, I can make no guarantees about what I’ll get done. I’ll aim to do as many as possible by Thanksgiving, but I might have to push it back until Christmas.

Because tumblr is a glitchy pile of gremlins, if you send an ask in pieces, number the pieces (1/3, 2/3, etc.) so I’ll know if any are missing. I also recommend refreshing the page between asks so they’re less likely to get lost.

How did the philosophy reference get in there, you may ask? I dunno, man. These things just happen.

Jesus Christ, this is my first fic to break 150 kudos and I posted it less than a day ago. This is what happens when you post something immediately relevant to a movie right after it comes out instead of jumping on a slow-moving fandom train halfway through the 4-year lull between movies…

OK, it is now my first fic to crack *200* kudos, and it’s still been less than 24 hours since I posted it. Of course I’m thrilled and flattered, but I’m also feeling a little sad on behalf of my other fics that have been up for a while, most of which are longer and involved more time and effort. So if you like this one, please consider checking out my other fics (Thor/Loki or gen, as you prefer). I’ve already been seeing some new readers doing that, which I greatly appreciate.

I’ve now decided that for the purpose of statistical analyses of responses to my writing, this fic is kudos Georg, which is an outlier and should not be counted.
