Inspired by @claricechiarasorcha and all the other truly amazing thorki authors out there… feel like I’m punching above my weight here, but I got some fics to offer.
What Happens in Midgard – 13k, pre-canon/canon. Young, arrogant and volatile, the brothers are stripped of their powers and cast down to Earth as punishment, where they end up getting drunk married – Fun, angst, and smut, fic prompt gone slightly awry.
When Universes Collide –
50k, post-canon – Loki Redemption fic. This story assumes Loki turns into an
asshole again during IW and is subsequently offered a chance to start over, courtesy
of mysterious Earth-616 Loki (aka Comic Loki, Agent of Asgard era) –
Angst and Redemption and lots of thorki masturcrying.
Pretty in Pink – 2.2k, basically a dirty PWP featuring Thor in pink frillies, because why not – Fic prompt, out of my comfort zone to write and it was so. much. fun! Smut city.
Twice The Bluff – 6.8k, pre-canon. Loki visits the lower wards of Asgard for the first time with Thor and
the Warriors Three and wants to prove himself a man. It doesn’t go quite to plan – First time, fluff and smut. (Got a real soft spot for this one if I do say so myself!)
Feast – 2.9k, pre-ragnarok (kinda). Thor returns to Asgard searching for answers, not expecting a feast laid out for solely him to devour – Smut tinged with food kink and Done With This Shit Loki. (I’m quite proud of this one bc it was written before I watched the film and I think I got Loki’s frame of mind – i.e. throne bored/horny af – pretty spot on)
Glazed by @darklittlestories is a bit of dirty fun that could also fit into the pre-canon verse as well.
I do enjoy writing AUs, but I also have multiple stories set in the movie-verse.
And thanks again! I’m amazed that someone is looking for canon-compliant fic. I guess it’s my lucky day! I don’t read Hiddlesworth either, but I can contribute some more Thorki recs:
Loki Really Wants To Bang His Brother AU, a series by @karuvapatta, in spite of the name is not really an AU, except insofar as the Thor/Loki premise itself is not canon-compliant. It all takes place within the canon universe, though I suppose the ending isn’t Ragnarok-compliant… well, that’s going to be the case with a lot of existing Thorki fic.
@illwynd has a few that are (more or less) canon-compliant, including Playing the Part (I might be able to put that in the fluffy rec list, believe it or not) and I Remember a Shadow (warning: darkness ahead).
I’ve also got a bunch on my bookmark list that are canon-divergent (i.e., they suppose that something went differently than it did in canon) but still take place in the world of canon rather than an AU. Anon can decide whether they count as sufficiently canon-compliant. They include:

So to commemorate Ragnarok and welcome my new followers (welcome peeps!), I decided to make one of these.
My Thorki fic, in cronological order (sort of)
Dog Inside the heart or “the one where they are actors”. I was a latecomer to the fandom (I arrived well after Thor TDW was released) and all the possible canon situations seemed to have been explored already by incredibly talented people. But I had an idea for an AU that seemed to fit the family dynamics in a very interesting way. I realised from the get go that it would be a mammoth (I outlined the entire thing before I wrote down the first word, as I usually do), but I was a reckless newbie fic writer with no idea what I was getting myself into so I just jumped in.
327476 words, 38 chapters and almost 3 fricking years later, I now approach mammoth-fics with considerably more respect. A lot has happened since I started this thing. It was a journey.
i need to mention @snacktimeholyfather‘s darling hand and wit and warmth and heart and insight. Without her that thing would be have half the soul it has. Not to mention, she got me out of some very deep blocks with her ideas and thoughts and suggestions and just being around. I love you.
ALSO, from chapter 32 onwards, I gained a beta for all my work and a partner in crime and a wonderful friend in the awesome, the amazing @thorctopus. She’s not only saved me from some really awkward English and spelling and grammar mistakes, but also cheered me up and supported me and enabled me in all my Thorki endeavours for… how many years is it now dearling? We work well together, don’t we boo?

Unfaithful(and a little spinoff,Heel, a birthday gift PWP for dear @pinknoonicorn who likes her Loki with EVERYTHING THAT MOVES) soooo I’m a mercurial character and a scatterbrained person. I work better when I have several things on the go. I started this while I was in the middle of the Dog (and my Victor Trevor thing.)
I read this little gemby Foudroye and was hit with the urge to write a slap-dashed hurts-so-good angst-porn so-wrong little thing about Thor being unfaithful to his wife. I knew it would be sizeable, but I was still seriously underestimating how much work I would end up wanting to invest in it. It has some challenging things (Tony Stark is there as a second person in Loki’s life, it’s a NOTP for many, anyway I like challenging readers and I think Tony adds to this story so.)
This one is “only” 157311 words and 39 chapters long. It’s not officially complete, (there are 2 more little wrap-up chaps I still mean to write), but it can be read as finished.
It’s under offer by a publishing house too, if I get my ass round to re-writing it for scratch to delete the serial numbers and such. UFFFF not mentally or emotionally up to it at the moment, but anyway, when I do get around to it, I’ll have to take it down. Just so you know. (I do hope at least some of you’ll buy it if and when it’s published!)
Cocky Boys. Sometimes I like my brain very much. This was a good idea, I’m proud of it. I thought it was a very hot premise. But it was a comedic scenario, and was I able to pull off humor? I never felt like I could. But I tried, and again, I think I did well. I still pat myself on the back for the opening scene and the closing lines of chapter 1, for the incarnations of Balder and Odin, for Tony, and for Jarvis the talking strap-on.
I am proud and pleased of the enduring popularity of this fic.

@claricechiarasorcha had the great idea for those of us who have been swimming in these thorki waters for a while now to rec a handful of our own older fics for this current wave of newcomers. I have, I think, written a wide and weird variety of stuff over the years, and it was hard to narrow it down, but here’s a few of mine that I think were pretty good.
Inspired by Terry Pratchett’s Wintersmith, this one is an AU in which the endless winter overtakes the world, Thor is a mortal boy born at the very end of the last summer, and Loki is a very peculiar, lonely spirit of winter.
The requisite AU in which Loki was raised in Jotunheim and marries Thor in an arranged marriage for political reasons (with ulterior motives of course). There just isn’t enough fic with mpreg Thor and I had to do my part to rectify that situation.
I like playing around with the mythology aspect of the fandom now and then, and this one shows the course of Thor and Loki’s relationship through the eyes of their younger brother, Baldr.
Starting from a kinkmeme prompt, this grew into my first novel-length fic. Starts at the end of the first Thor movie; instead of backhanding Thor with the Destroyer, Loki demands that Thor come back to Asgard with him while still mortal and become his servant to make up for things between them.
Just wanted to throw in a very old fic of mine, from when I was first figuring out how much fun I have writing bottom Thor. Includes Loki being a miserable ball of angst as he gets to have his sex-pollened brother in the way he has always secretly desired.

Ok, it’s not like it’s the weirdest thing they’ve ever done.
I’m sort of borrowing @claricechiarasorcha‘s throwback self-rec idea for the benefit of new (post-Ragnarok) Thorki shippers… but since all of my Thorki fics are connected in a bizarre continuous saga, I’m just updating my summary post again.
The series title is an abbreviation of a Nietzsche quote (obviously, because I’m me), “Whatever is done from love always occurs beyond good and evil” (aphorism 153 of, you guessed it, Beyond Good and Evil), which is quoted at the end of “The Tree of Knowledge” and “Winter, Autumn, and Spring.”
Most of the stories stand reasonably well on their own, but the later ones do presuppose and build on the events of the earlier ones, so you’ll have the fullest understanding if you’ve read them as a series. All fics are canon-compliant until “Starting Over,” which was written before Thor: Ragnarok came out and goes in a different direction. (I assume I will write Ragnarok-compliant additions to the series; I guess that one will just have to be a canon-divergent offshoot?)
1. Desert Flowers “Loki, what are you doing in there? Dissecting a dead skunk?” Loki introduces Thor to marijuana and (finally) gets him to talk philosophy; the conversation goes in a somewhat unexpected direction. “Norns, Loki, the lengths you’ll go to just to win an argument…” [Spoiler alert: they kiss.] Notes: Rated T, not E, because there’s no sex yet.
2. The Tree of Knowledge “Loki kissed me. What in Hel was that about? was the first thought that entered Thor’s mind when he woke up. And I kissed him back.” The day after Loki and Thor got stoned together and Loki kissed Thor – purportedly just to prove a philosophical point – Thor looks for an explanation from his evasive brother, and comes to realize that his own feelings for Loki are not what he had thought they were. Notes: There is sex in this one, but they start slow (just hands). This one is a pretty close follow-on to “Desert,” and wouldn’t make a lot of sense without having read it.
3. The Paradox of Desire Shortly after they first become lovers, Thor and Loki negotiate some of the details of the relationship. Thor tries to play the older, wiser, protective big brother; Loki isn’t buying it. [Or, the first one in which they discuss the dynamics of topping and bottoming.] Notes: And now we add mouths to the sex situation. Relatively independent from its predecessors, but does make some references to “Tree.”
4.First Things[in progress] A reader requested Loki’s first time (with penetrative sex), so here we are. The first try does not go quite as planned, so Thor asks some advice from a friend who happens to work at a brothel and has given him some quality sex advice before. Notes: Anal sex is the end game, obviously, but in the meantime we get some heavy fingering, intercrural sex, and butt plugs. References mostly to “Paradox.”
5. “Rarely Looks Up, Rarely Loves” Loki just wants to lie on his bed and read after dinner; Thor has other activities in mind. They arrive at a compromise. Notes: Just oral sex again. Originally posted as a silly little Tumblr ficlet inspired by some fanart, but it fit into my little canon-compliant universe where Loki is a big Nietzsche fan, and it was long enough, so I gave it its own installment. Depends on nothing else, nothing depends on it.
Hoping to get his anxious, moody brother to relax (for once), Thor looks for advice from Frigga – who spent an adventurous youth in Vanaheim – as to what substances might help. She recommends “lovers’ leaf” (a pun, she thinks, on “lovers’ leap”) which she assures him is not an aphrodisiac, but “approximates the feeling of falling in love—or rushing headlong into love, more like. Giddiness, euphoria, the sense that all is right with the world. It tends to come with loquaciousness and relaxed inhibitions, and often an intense craving for touch. So don’t be alarmed if you find Loki becoming unusually… cuddly.” Notes: No sex, just naked cuddling. Pretty much entirely independent of the others. Written to a prompt from darklittlestories, who won it in a fic giveaway: “Thor brings Lo some exotic offworld drink/drug that *melts* stressball/buttoned-up!Loki & has ecstasy-esque snuggly (or sexy?) properties and some sort of affection ensues 😀 Loki gets to chill.”
7. Winter, Autumn, and Spring Ten years before Thor’s coronation, Loki realizes that they’ll no longer be able to hide their affair and decides they have to break it off, after a pre-arranged last night together. Just before the coronation, Loki’s resolve is tested. Notes: No-holds-barred sex; pretty much everything is involved. Can be read on its own, but does quote from “Tree” and “Paradox” and allude to “Desert.”
8. Fraternizing with the Enemy Set during Thor: The Dark World. After Thor goes to free Loki from prison and before they rendezvous with their co-conspirators, they revisit what they once were to each other, and try (painfully and indirectly, of course) to figure out what they are to each other now. Notes: Just your standard anal sex smut. Written before any of its five immediate predecessors in the timeline, so most references are to “Tree.”
9. Starting Over After the events of Age of Ultron, Thor returns to Asgard to tell his father what he learned from his vision about the Infinity Stones. To his great surprise, Odin tells him he already knows; to his greater surprise, Odin is not really Odin. Thor and Loki have a long-overdue conversation about their past and their future (and more than conversation), and start the work of mending the rift between them. Notes: Would be pretty standard anal sex smut if they didn’t spend so much time TALKING… The second chapter is pretty closely tied to “Fraternizing,” so I would recommend reading that; there are also some references to “Winter.” Loki’s account of his year in the Void is drawn from my gen fic The Abyss Gazes Also, but everything is fully explained in context so you don’t have to have read that to understand. Chapter 3 contains a vague discussion of BDSM, some very minor bloodplay, and some fun with fruit.
Hey, guys! I’m submitting my dissertation on Wednesday (November 15), which means that I’ve been holed up working on it for most of the past few weeks, so I’m pretty stressed out but also lonely and bored. I also have not had time to write or post new fic recently, so I probably have no right asking you to go read my old stuff… but it would be really encouraging and cheering if someone wanted to read something of mine and leave a comment on it. Please, talk to me about my weird obsessions! (And reassure me that I haven’t been wasting my time on them…)

only to discover that strangely, the clause against blood relation
doesn’t quite apply to them…

A series of two fics (The Fools We Are As Men andWhat the Thunder Said) that begins with what appears to be a straight-forward fuck-or-die fic, but then promptly turned into an epic monster. And it’s always @sexualthorientation who reminds me of the good things about the latter fic, though the former will always be one of my favourite things I’ve written.)
Otherwise known as the glowdick!fic, a story that starts out as the purest of crack but then turns into something…considerably deeper. In all sorts of ways.
