We all know Hiddleston is the ultimate Loki stan, nothing new here— except I felt like drawing attention to the fact that in this quote, he could have easily called Loki a nerd/geek/bookworm/etc as a foil to Thor’s quarterback. Yet Tom specifically uses the word “artist.” (Don’t apologise, its a perfect word!)
I especially enjoy this because of the way we tend to first define whether one is “artful” or “artless” predominately by measuring their cunning, cleverness and guile— which then becomes an indicator of their creativity, skill, and taste.
And now I want to dig out my copy of Lewis Hyde’s Trickster Makes This World and ignore all the other things I’m supposed to be working on today.

i know im saying this jokingly because it is an amusing and lovable trait but it also raises a lot of questions over why i have a small altar to my brother in my bedroom. the answer is because sometimes he will not say hellow to me unless i’ve completed a full blót ritual consisting primarily of biodegradable green glitter from lush

seeing thor be tortured like that just makes me think that loki was probably tortured like that too, u know? 😦
and it’s so upsetting for a variety of reasons. like obv, thor himself being tortured really just feels so, so wrong. seeing him so helpless and out-of-sorts being dragged by his skull… the way his eyes roll back in his head. i’m. just. -incoherent screaming- T_T
and then (assuming it’s the same scene and not disjointed), seeing loki take in that visible breath while he watches it happen like i know exactly how that feels and i can’t do anything to help you
