I couldn’t find any pics of Connie Britton on People or E!, and I fucking wonder why. Best dressed bitch!

“Connie wore the sweater to bring awareness to ONE’s Poverty is Sexist campaign, which aims to put a stop to extreme poverty by breaking down the barriers holding girls and women back. The data shows that women and girls in developing countries are hit hardest by extreme poverty and helping them thrive is the most effective way to lift everyone out.

Connie has been a longtime champion of ONE and Poverty is Sexist. In March, she teamed up with Robin Wright to deliver ONE’s open letterdemanding action on the critical global crisis of girls education at the United Nations. She also took part in ONE’s #GirlsCount video petition alongside Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson of 2 Dope Queens, and previously starred in ONE’s PSA calling for action on the Ebola crisis.” (Source)

A boy who is educated will put less than 40% of his future income back into his community, a girl who is educated will put over two thirds of her income back into her community.

Educated boys are more likely to move out of impoverished areas, educated girls are more likely to stay and take part in raising others out of poverty.

If a girl is educated for an extra two years than the national average in poor countries the chance that her future children will die in infancy is drastically reduced. They will be healthier and will almost certainly reach the same level of education as their mother, they will often go on to a higher level of education than her.

Girls who are educated get married later, have fewer, healthier children, have better mental health, are less vulnerable to abuse and are more independent.

Poverty is sexist.
