this is so perfect though?? like, one of the great things about Megamind is that the villain becomes a good guy while realizing he doesn’t have to change the things that make him who he is, like his brains over brawn approach or his ridiculous style, and I would love to think this is Loki doing the same–finally figuring out that he doesn’t have to be Thor to be recognized as a hero. he can save the day and still be mischievous, overdramatic little shit. he can be a hero while remaining Loki.

OK, I gotta correct this because I keep seeing it. Loki did not want to destroy Earth, he wanted to conquer and rule it. Once he’d done the conquering he might have ended up doing something rather similar to what he was doing in Asgard… assuming he wasn’t constantly putting down rebellions.
