loxxxlay:

HAS ANYONE NOTICED THE BODY IN THE THOR CLIP YET

THIS MEANS THESE TWO CLIPS ARE ALMOST DEFINITELY IN THE SAME SCENE BECAUSE BODIESSS

I know that this was already being speculated, but now we know For Sure that Thanos is probably torturing Thor right in front of Loki!!!!!!

Which makes the whole “Loki gives up the Tesseract for Thor” SO MUCH MORE LIKELY OF A THEORY O_O

loxxxlay:

so like, i realize this has probably already been said today, but in case not:

seeing thor be tortured like that just makes me think that loki was probably tortured like that too, u know? 😦

and it’s so upsetting for a variety of reasons. like obv, thor himself being tortured really just feels so, so wrong. seeing him so helpless and out-of-sorts being dragged by his skull… the way his eyes roll back in his head. i’m. just. -incoherent screaming- T_T

and then (assuming it’s the same scene and not disjointed), seeing loki take in that visible breath while he watches it happen like i know exactly how that feels and i can’t do anything to help you

i’m. dead.

So Loki gives tesseract to Thanos just to save his brother???

See? There is someone pointing spearish weapon at him.

Don’t wanna say I told you BUT I TOLD YOU.

Okay… but here’s my thing… Loki had better not die trying to save Thor’s life.

Especially after he already did, or tried to, in TDW. But I strongly suspect that is how he will die, though I now think it will probably happen later in the movie. Because the Powers That Be in the MCU seem to think that’s his only useful function, and that his love for Thor is his only redeeming quality.

OK, @foundlingmother, @led-lite, @tara-noire – I think the staging here suggests that Loki will spend some time (pretending to be) working with Thanos. See how he’s standing with Thanos’s generals while Thanos threatens Thor and then breaks the cube to get the Space Stone out.

Maybe Loki will claim that he usurped the throne of Asgard so that he could recover the Tesseract for Thanos after he (shamefully) lost it by losing the battle for Midgard. Why Thanos would accept that excuse, I’m not sure… but banishing Odin and posing as him for 4 years is a pretty impressive trick.

@philosopherking1887 Except there’s a gun pointed at his head.

I think that’s to make sure he doesn’t try to do anything to help Thor. But yeah, it’s still possible they’ll shoot him just to make a statement. Sigh.
