i wanted to draw something about

thor being stolen by laufey as a babe, instead of loki by odin. taken to use as barter in later life. and he’s raised as a jotun prince, by loki’s side (laufey keeps his true appearance hidden with magic, and his aesir blood keeps him warm enough on jotunheim). laufey never hides his contempt for the boy, and once he is old enough to realise he will never develop magic of his own, the giants avoid him with a certain distaste. 

except loki.

thor focuses on becoming a warrior, and loki crafts him a weapon from ice that can never be shattered. he needs no protector, a powerful young sorcerer, but allows thor to appoint himself loki’s knight anyway, because loki likes his brother’s company and his adoration, and likes thor to have a place by his side. 

uh so that is what i drew.

Thor doesn’t really remember his past life, he was too young a child to have more that little flashes and bits of a warmer home, of rose-skinned people. 

He’s blue now, like Loki, and it’s everything that count. They’re alike, they’re brothers as everyone around them says, and they’re so much more. 

Thor doesn’t miss his past home. Loki is his home. Always will.
