The thread goes on a lot longer and explains why a mall would have space for many more services that homeless shelters generally try to offer but often can’t
I agree that it’s crazy there are a bunch of empty houses when there are so many homeless people, but a mall would have the space for the services they mention. There are also a lot more logistical issues involved in settling homeless people in empty homes
