Thanks! I was tagged to do this earlier today; my response is here. (I could probably come up with 5 more things I like about myself, but 10 things starts to seem a bit narcissistic. We’re supposed to like ourselves, but not too much. You know how it is.)

1. I have a good memory for names, words, facts, and dates (less so for faces, unfortunately).

2. I think thoroughly and carefully about things: philosophy, literature, politics, history. (Not always before I start talking, but eventually.)

3. Corollary to #2: I have a very sensitive bullshit detector.

4. I come through for my friends. I will pick them up from the police station in the middle of the night and front their bail if necessary (assuming they haven’t murdered anyone).

5. My advisors tell me I’m a good writer with something resembling style – which is very rare in analytic philosophy.
