According to Wikipedia, Joss Whedon wrote this episode (“Spin the Bottle”). I really like the framing, with Lorne telling the story and occasionally popping up to narrate inside it.

Connor just looks like a whiny little snot. I can already see Pete Campbell in him.

My parents’ cat had to be put to sleep today. He was only about 9 years old; they only had him for 5 years. You wouldn’t think I’d be all that upset about it, except that I visit often enough that I knew him pretty well and kind of felt like he was my cat too.

My actual cat (Meg) freaks out when I cry, which is not helpful. She refused to come out from under the bed when I wanted to cuddle.

Now I’m just feeling really shitty. I’m physically sick with some kind of mystery fever and I’m sad and I’m really, really tired.

How did I manage to get sick without having close contact with other humans or even going outside very often?
