Housing children in actual buildings require adherence to basic child safety regulations and sexual violence background checks of workers. Tents free them of basic laws designed to protect children.

If you’re thinking they chose tents for cost: these tents cost more than returning children to their parents. And they cost more than housing them in actual buildings.
