How are all these gender reveal parties just now becoming a thing in 2018 when genders are like not even a thing anymore
Gender reveal parties, if they happen at all, should only happen when a child is old enough to really know what their gender is. It’s like the Anabaptist denominations of Christianity, who oppose infant baptism because they “believe that baptism is valid only when the candidate confesses his or her faith in Christ and wants to be baptized.” I oppose pre-birth gender reveal parties because it only makes sense to make a big deal of or celebrate a child’s gender when the child is able to sincerely avow it.
