In the interest of being able to compile a comprehensive personal ranking of MCU movies, I’m finally watching “The Incredible Hulk.”
I’m so confused by this credits sequence. Are they just skipping the origin story because they assume we all know it?
Thin, athletic Bruce Banner doing capoeira or some shit just strikes me as so odd now. But this is the original MCU version… Ruffalo!Banner was a retcon. I think I like slightly chubby, cerebral Bruce – not all superheroes have to be martial artists – but I wonder if that’s just because it’s what I’ve gotten used to.
Did he just fucking swallow a USB key?! What would even happen to that in the digestive system?
I have trouble taking Betty’s new boyfriend seriously given that he’s played by the actor who plays Phil Dunphy on “Modern Family”… but he seems OK.
I was getting a definite Beauty and the Beast and/or King Kong-type vibe from the scene with Betty and the Hulk in a cave. Beautiful woman tames savage monster.
“I don’t want to control it. I want to get rid of it” is an interesting line in light of later developments.
