Like it seems…….not only tone deaf given the current state of mind everyone has. But completely misunderands why people like Marvel movies. No one wants their faves’ send off to be a gratuitously depressing end that spits in the face of all the struggles they endured before it.
No one wants to see that.

All the unnecessarily dark and destructive shit is why people DON’T like the DC movies. Not a good role model, Marvel.

Well, I actually think Thor: Ragnarok misfired by overdoing it on both the humor and the casual murder (especially in combination). But I thought Iron Man (1 and 3), the Avengers films, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther, in their different ways, all managed to strike the right balance between humor, pathos, and concern for avoiding collateral damage.
