Very true, its just that discourse like this tends to frame ww as complete victims incapable of harm who only do bad shit cuz the scary white man made them do it and its frankly insulting to not only poc affected but also paints white women as victims when they aren’t and assumes they aren’t capable of making their own decisions(although I hope the reply above yours was just being sarcastic lmao)
@andreashwood, as with anyone who stands at the intersection of a marginalized identity and a privileged identity, I think it’s a little bit of both – being vulnerable in virtue of the one and responsible (therefore capable of accepting culpability) in virtue of the other. I’m sure it depends on the specific cultural context what the balance is.
