I wonder how difficult must be for Loki to maintain his Aesir form in this kind of situation and how much Thor likes to provoke him until he’s in full Jotun form~~ 

In an AU where it takes effort for him to maintain it, presumably… I suspect that in canon it’s completely unconscious. (And this would have to be the case for canonverse fics with pre-canon Thorki to work…)

@philosopherking1887 You say that, but imagine a pre-canon Thorki fic where it takes about as much effort to maintain it as breathing (usually subconscious, but not 100% of the time), and then this happens… Turns out discovering the brother you’re fucking isn’t related to you by blood is kind of a mood killer. Also, it’s very difficult to then explain to your parents just how you found out you were adopted. I’m seeing angst and crack potential here.

That would be a very interesting canon-divergent AU (but it would still be an AU, which was the original point), and as you say, it could go in the direction of either angst or crack… or some odd combination of both.

P.S. I kind of can’t believe you actually called me Dr. Phil in the tags. I mean, I know I joked after I defended my dissertation that people could do that now, but I kind of didn’t expect people to actually do it…
