Hi, I’m back (at least temporarily). And I’m still scrambling to finish my contribution to the Thorki Secret Valentine exchange because of my on-campus visit this past Thursday-Saturday to a university where I’m in consideration for a job… I spent the week before preparing for it but mostly freaking out, then those days were a whirlwind of meetings and talks and more freaking out, and then I got home and immediately came down with the flu, so my brain was not really in writing condition… Anyway, I’m still aiming to get it done before the deadline. Excelsior!

(In case you were wondering, I do think the fly-out went well. But I won’t find anything out until March because they’ve got two more job candidates doing the same thing this week and next.)
