As far as I remember no one said that someone will die in first 5 mins, Kevin Feige just said that Thanos will prove himself a serious villain or something like that and everyone concluded that he probably will kill someone.

Well, then, that could just refer to the fact that he or his generals seem to have killed most of the Asgardians on the Ark. That would prove him a serious villain even without killing off a major character.

Or he could kill Korg. I would be completely OK with that.
