My problem was always needing to make essays shorter. Should I have changed the periods from 12pt to 10pt…?

As a teacher, I will not make a point of looking for that. We can tell from the bullshit filler phrases when you’re struggling to get up to the required length; we don’t need to look at the period sizes.
