The comedy covered it up pretty well, but he has been having a shitty time

Asgardian people: homeless, without anything to their name except the clothes on their backs and are now refugees (and he is now in charge)
Dad: dead
Sister: psychotic bitch that is now also dead
Warriors Three and Sif: dead
Jane Foster: broke up with him
Eyes: now just eye
Hammer: gone
Asgardian Weapons: gone
Asgardian army: gone
Infinity Stones: no idea
CONCLUSION: Thor is having a real shitty time
FWIW, we don’t know that Sif is dead… but otherwise, yeah.
