Except that they’re not really making peace with shit… Thor thinks he is, but there’s clearly some bitterness in the “That’s what you always wanted.” And Loki is LYING THROUGH HIS TEETH when he says “It’s probably for the best that we never see each other again.” He wants Thor to fight him on it. He wants Thor to fight to preserve their relationship. But Thor is too busy thinking that Loki hates him and that he’s doing Loki a favor by letting go, and Loki is too proud to contradict Thor when he says “That’s what you always wanted,” even though he’s obviously dying inside. EVEN WHEN THEY TALK THEY DON’T REALLY TALK. My poor fucked-up children 😦
